Rizelmine 24 - A Decent Proposal

It feels like it's taken forever, but here is the final episode of Rizelmine. After the insanity of the previous two episodes, it's a short, sweet, and low-key finale. Note that it refers back to certain events and objects from episodes 14-16.

This is actually the fourth DVD version of the second season, following Hono-Bono, AIP, and Retrofit's releases. Still, I think most will agree that this is the best and most definitive version, at least until someone comes along and does a 10-bit encode with the same amount of filtering and manual correction that Desbreko put into this release. And I don't think that's too likely.

Batch (Nyaa) || Batch (BakaBT) EDIT:

A patch for episode 07v2 can be found here. That file will be in the complete batch on BakaBT. The only difference is that it adds a font that wasn't included in the .mkv. If you have the Candara font on your system, you won't notice a difference.

  1. What's the main difference between yours and Retrofit's version? I have Retro's and I wonder if it will be worthwhile to replace with yours... so what's better in your version?

  2. See this thread.

    Basically, my release features:

    * A new h264 encode from DVD .isos; Retrofit remuxed old wmv raws.
    * Complete content - eps 1-11 and 13-23 all have two next ep previews, but Retrofit's raws only had one.
    * Better translations, styling, editing, timing, karaoke, and typesetting. Retrofit used existing fansubs as-is (with some mistakes added); I improved them wherever I could. In particular, Retrofit's use of h-b for Season 2 means a lot more mistranslations.

Much respect to Taskforce and the folks at Retrofit for taking the project on and releasing it far faster than I did. But without any staff to do TLC and editing, they're limited by the quality of the existing subs.

  3. I've been watching this series for the first time as you released it, and this was probably the most touching episode in the entire series, I think. It's certainly the least corny of them. :) This episode actually makes you feel for Iwaki and Rizel's relationship as a romantic possibility instead of just several peoples' wild delusions and maniacal humor. :)

  4. Thanks a lot.
But I just wanted to know if there was a way to splice in the OP/ED again into the episode without re-encoding?

    1. You could try this, though I don't know how well it will work:

    2. Assuming whatever's used to automate the process does it correctly, splitting and merging with mkvmerge to put the OP/ED back in should work fine since I made sure all the chapter points are on key frames.

  8. Hi Zalis, I watched the serie and I want to ask you something. I'm Spanish-speaker, and in my language it's hard to find a decent version of it.

Can you give me permission to use your version and put inside them Spanish subs? Obviously, announcing that you're the provider of the episodes. Or, at least, tell me where to find a raw version, because the torrent one that I have it's freeze...

    Thanks a lot!
